Hey Starplott. I really appreciate your input and am quite overwhelmed by your intelligence on this subject matter. If only I had known that you had a PHD in curled tail syndrome and were a psycology major as well, I definitely would have contacted you before I ever made the post. Heck, in hindsight had I been aware of your expertise on canines as well as Homosapiens I would have saved myself a lot of time-aggravation-money-typing(I hate typing) and negativity from some know- it- all that I don't even know. If you would permit, I would be honored to be able to contact you prior to any future endeavers or decisions I may undertake as it pertains to the world of canines in general. I hope this doesn't offend you in any way for that isn't the intent . However, my response to your negative response on my post should have been YOU'RE RIGHT and that would have made you feel better. This may very well be a cry for help on your part. If it is I certainly hope you receive it. I hope you and yours have a Happy Holliday!
Where was the negativity?
I'm sorry, you asked how to correct the tail issue as the pup's tail is not what you want.
What was it that you wanted from your post? People running down the breeder for sending you a puppy with a fault you didn't like, before finding out if you tried to take up the issue w the breeder?
Or was it looking for do it yourself painful alternatives to docking the the tail so the curling wasn't so bothersome to you?
It's obvious you don't want the tail to curl, we all have our preferences in what we like and don't. If I don't like dogs with white on the chest I simply tell the breeder that so they don't send one with a white chest. If they still send it, I would take it up with the breeder for sending me what I did not want.
If I didn't tell the breeder I didn't like white on the chest and that is what I got sent...I sure wouldn't be on a message board asking for people to tell me how to cut the white off the dog's chest at home to make me happy.
I'm sure you wouldn't go for home remedy pecker straightening just to make you more appealing to a woman if she didn't like your curve. (ok, that was negative).
I have no reason to cry out, I passed my psych eval and I do have plenty of psychologists, psychiatrists, and counselors I work with that can vouch for that (not a joke). I'm not the one who is concerned with having people tease over a curl in my dog's tail to the point I'm willing to consider finding a home remedy to keep from spending money to have it docked. No matter what you do with it to remove or straighten the tail, it is still going to be the same dog. (that was also a bit negative)
I don't take offense over your reply. It was pretty much what was expected. I mean you did post for home remedies to straighten a puppy tail so you didn't have to dock it to like the puppy. Who would have expected much else?
It shouldn't take a psych major to look at your post and shake their head.
Hey, got any home remedies for a dog that sheds? He works like a dream, bites like hell, and most the cops and sport people cream their jeans watching him work. But man, I don't want to shave him and I sure would like to get out of brushing him. Do you think he'd look better after laser hair removal or spend the next 6 months pulling his hair out.
I got another one somebody thought the ears were too small. Any home remedies to extending them? Maybe many sessions of putting her ears in a vice and throwing a box of balls? Maybe the ears would stretch enough after the 50th time she lunged for the ball and got her ears pulled. That would make her such a better dog if her ears were 1/4 inch taller, at least that's what somebody said.
