jack russel, thinks she is 10' tall

but she's not bullet proof..
i'm going to start putting her on fox's and i need a bulletproof vest for her,,or one made out of snakeproof nylon..

she has gone down a chuck hole to get this groundhog ,,have a fox problem here now ,,i know she wont back down on anything she goes after,,i just want her to have all the advantage she can get on her side,,

anyone know where i can get one or have one made,,i also have a rabbitdog/bulldog cross that is the size of a regular rabbit dog that i might want one for him so we can put him on the back door if the fox comes out that way trying to get away from jojo.

jojo and her chuck

maliki,,bulldog mix

You can have one made , but it would only get her in trouble in tight places ... fox aren't real rough , but she will either bay them after getting bit some or the damage will be to her mouth and face , not her body ....

If she is getting in the ground , the biggest danger she faces is getting in the ground where you can't find her .... or you not being prepared to dig her out .... or not knowing how to dig a proper hole and collapsing a hole on top of her and suffocating her.

i had to dig her out when she went in after the groundhog, she got cuts to her face that time and went ape,she wont back down when she goes into kill mode..i have a pick and short handle spade shove,,we have rocky soil so its a chore to did one out here by the house

i want the vest so i can put an eyelet on the tail end so i can hook a lightweight string so can fish her back out if things go bad for her as she will die before she backs down..

when she run out of air fighting the chuck, she would back out to the edge of the hole to get fresh air and then back in she would go,
my son got bit when he grabed her back legs and pulled her out and reached for her collar, she bit him and was back in the hole before he knew what happened

she was never trained ,just born with the killer mode built in,
too bad the people who gave $500 for her as a pup had her spaded when she was 8months old.she would have produced some very gamey pups..

plus she is a better mouser in the house than most cats..when she hears a mouse and goes into mousehunter mode,,dont even touch her unless she is looking at you or u is going to get bit..

thanks for your time and information,

I have no answers for you on the vest, but I wanted to tell you that I have weiner dogs that think they are 12' tall and are afraid on NOTHING. I have never seen a more fearless dog. They take on anything . Must be a little dog thing, or little dogs that were bred to do big jobs, not sure which.

I think if you ask ten guys that dig to terriers about putting a vest on them ... you will get eleven of them that tell you it's a dangerous idea.

Those cut vests are for hogs , and really only needed for catchdogs ... baying dogs mobility is their protection and those vests also overheat the dogs that are hunting and running .

thanks but this little dog wont be chaseing anything till it goes to ground ,,

she is like a catch dog when she goes down the hole as she will be trying to kill whatever is in there..

so she will need something to protect her neck and frountend like a catch dog ,,

she dont have any bay dog to her ,its KILL OR BE KILLED when she sets her mind on something..

she has attacked my coondog before and i had to kick her off the dogs neck ,
she was locked on the hounds neck skin like a pitbull

and she also locked onto the neck skin of my brothers female pitbull and had to be knocked off the pit's neck also,,lucky for her the pit thought she was a little white tick hanging off her neck,,lol.

so i think she's crazy enough she will need something to protect her neck and chest/belly because she will be tangleing with her prey and a fox or whatever will be trying to kill her as well when she attacks it,,which i know is going to happen,,

if she was as big as one of them hogdogs ,she would be a one dog whrecking crew on pigs,,lol

thanks everybody,,
i know a woman that has 3 sewing machines,
i'll check with her to see if she can sew the nylon material on them,,i dont think the dog will need kevlar, but just something tough to keep the fox or whatever from cuting her throat

this little dog is crazy like a suiside bomber when she go's into kill mode, pound for pound never seen anything as crazy as her.

I would think that you could get a special made one like they use on the hog dogs down south. I think they are made out of Kevlar. Check out the tv show Hog Wild, American Hoggers or some such show and see what you can root up on them. They are on the NGW channel. I love that show, watching them catch hogs with their dogs, love, love, love it!

do you have a number for dan's ?

my friend with the sewing machines says she can make me some if i bring the dog to her house so she can measure it and see how it will need to fit..

we were at goodwill yesterday and they had some nice leather /nylon jackets/bibs for around $5-$10 that we could cut down to make some vests out of ..,

jojo may be be up for the best dressed hole dog award ,,lol
