Rick has so much dan you cant count them in a 5 or 6 generation pedigree. Dan beens dead a long time, but Rick had a grand daughter to dan and he line bred her many many times.

rick has some semen stored on

a great grandson of old dan by the crickett female who was off dan III and a mundo female.
I think the male the semen is from is maybe off of another son or grandson of dan III. I have seen some of the pedigrees from some of Ricks hounds and they have crickett and Night hawk several several times.
you guys wanting that breeding should call him up and get some of it. I hunted with old crickett from the time she was 6 months old until my buddy sold her to rick at age 6 or 7 for a good sum of money for that old of a dog and she could tree coon off to herself anywhere anytime. naurally straight and was a solid awesome coondog with great finley river breeding.
his number is 731-772-3808. He raises a litter of pups a year very rarely two and all his pups sell every time not a pup is ever left over. they are coondogs and show dogs as well. He showed his dogs all these years and pleasure hunted them. He never was into competition hunting that I know of, but was a hard hard hunter who would hunt by himself night after night and never was without a dog to tree a coon and every dog he had still goes back to old crickett. she was quite a legend in these parts.

Little Dan Dog what i called him

Little hound treed was son of the black headed dog, He blackhead dog was Dan Jr bred and crossed him with a great granddaugtther of Dan. was best fur dog i think ever was, he was never in a nite hunt. coon was $40. 1970 something

I have a female 12 years old with Dan in her 4th generation. I know where a littermate brother to her is also. Ive got a female out of him with dan in the 5th and 12 times in the 7th.

Finley River Pups

Hi,

Can't go wrong with Roger and Nathan's studs. Their studs are loaded with Finley River and produce nice pups.

Zig

Hi,

Hope all is well in NC. Thank you for the kind words. Zig has no big hunt titles and probably never will. I am a pleasure hunter that demands alot from my dog. I get it by breeding for the traits I want. Zig is exactly what I strive for...100% coondog. Started in 1978 with good Finley River stock and have stayed with it. Breeding proven outcross blood in when I couldn't breed any closer. Mike has nice pups..not just from Zig.
