Took Ty solo tonight. He has really made progress in a week and I was hoping to knock one out for him. First think he found was a deer someone had shot. :thumbdown: I thought that was going to be a bad sign.

Got off that and didn't go 50 yards and he hit a track. I was afraid it was a grinner feeding on that carcass but it wasn't. He smoked this coon through some pretty rough swamp and put him up on a ridge. It went up a small tree but it grew up in the canopy of a large oak that branched off into 3 trees. Hard as I tried I couldn't find the coon. I would bet the farm it was up there the way he acted but luck wasn't with us on getting it out.

Oh well, if nothing goes wrong he will get plenty more chances.
