Kelley needs help

Murphy has a fever, he was taken to the vet today and is on antibiotics but his fever won't break. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!
Branchvillekell & John

I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT KELL TODAY. HOPE THINGS ARE GOING WELL OTHER THAN MURP BEING SICK. I WOULD TRY ALCOHOL AND RUB HIM DOWN .

Pour rubbing alcohol in a pan or bowl and soak his front feet for 2 minutes.. Should drop the temp by 3-5 degrees

Bath him in tepid water like you would a child, just keep pouring the water over him, then wrap him in a warm blanket and keep him warm, NOT HOT! Make sure him is getting plenty of fluids, ice cubes if he won't drink, keep the water going in and on until the fever breaks. One other thing you can try is what they told us to do in EMT class for hyperthermia, ice cubes in rubber gloves, tied shut and put in the arm pits and inner thigh area.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Update

I talked to Kelley tonight and Murphy is doing much better. Kelley said thanks for the advice and for being concerned.
