What do you use to heat your kennels?

I am planning on building a 24x50 kennel but want to heat the inside to prevent water from freezing. We are going to install lick its in each pen. I live in North East Missouri. Any info will be greatly appreciated looking for something economical. Thank You.

Natural gas... get a couple wells drilled on your property and talk them into getting you a free gas hookup. Then you don't even have to worry about insulation.

Lol

Plentiful sun here but winter time has plentiful snow and cold.

We use an Add A Furnace wood burner to heat the garage where my indoor/outdoor kennels are. Lot of free wood around here. We got the stove used so it didn't cost much.

Freezing water

I use electric water bowls, it heats water just enough to keep them from freezing. There is heated buckets also, these are sold at farm & home stores. I have a 26x32 building and i built inside boxes across the back, so then i put a elect. plug above each box, then i put bowl inside in winter and fix cord so that dogs can't chew on them.
