Bugling I am not sure. As far as seeing them there are several places. Southfork Elk View in Breathitt County is a good place. There are also a couple good places in Knott County.

THEY SHOULD RUT SOME TIME IN SEPT. HERE IN MONTANA ITS USLY AROUND MID SEPT THE BEST TIMES TO HERE ELK BUGLE IS FROM RIGHT BEFORE SUNDOWN TO AFTER SUN UP I HAVE LISTENED TO THEM BUGLE ALL NIGHT BEFORE. WHEN ITS HOT THEY WILL BE BEDED UP BUT WHEN IT COOLS DOWN THEY WILL START GETTING FIRED UP MOVING AROUND CHASING COWS AND HITTING WALLOWS. LOOK FOR NORTH AND EAST FACING SLOPS WITH TIMBER AND WATER THATS WHERE THEY WILL SPEND THERE DAYS WHEN ITS HOT.

You would have plenty of room for an elk if you would take those little ones off the wall lol.

elk

Jim,

Your welcome anytime just call and set something up we can drive to see several just be careful and not plan a viewing during open elk season. Just check the dates.

Most people have room on the wall they just cant get them thru the door.
