Finding a pup

I'm at my wits end.I've been searching for a pup for over a year. Can't seem to find a dog that will do what I think it should do or act.I've looked at ped and reaserched parents and grandparent, this is my last hope.Don't know what else to do.it seems that I've had bad Luck with first crosses. Both parents hunt come from good dogs but don't pan out for me.I'm going through alot of time and money only to cull and start all over again. Is there anything you guys do,that you think would give you a better chance at finding a pup that turns out. Please don't misunderstand,I realize that all don't turn out it just seems like I'm finding them all.lol lol.My only thing left to do is find pups from a proven cross.Maybe that's what I should've been doing in the first place.I just don't know.My thinking was if both peds go way back as super big game dogs and it's a first cross,it should pan out right???? Please give it to me straight, thanks GREENHORN.

if your talking about your cur dog, he`s only 1 1/2 yrs old and some hounds start later than other. also not all hounds make bear dogs, if this is what your trying to get him to do. it`s really hard to make a good bear hound when your are running him by himself with no other help or a broke dog. if you want to see if he`ll go with my hounds and stay treed please feel free to call me or send me a pm on my site. remember that not all bear hounds do it all by themselves. some start the race, some pack in and finish it and some do it all from start to finish. i hope this makes sense.

Thanks Matt.I'm talking about another situation,I've put alot of time into my cur and feel what your saying about him is true.I would like to find another pup or 2 to start. My bullet dog put me to the test and still does at times.I am in search for a pup from bear dogs and out of 3 that I had only 1 seems to be level headed and has instincs. the other 1 would fight at the tree and my other cowers in his kennel as soon as I raise my voice. These were all first time crosses and from good stock.Just not proven cross.I don't know maybe it's just my luck which I feel it might be.In time and money I could buy a finished dog at the rate I'm going.LOL Pups 3 x 200. + dog hauler x2 = 1 well started or on there way dog.Correct me if I'm wrong.Don't mean to be abrupt I'm just whining like a little b****. thanks Wayne
