I have some coon candy. Don't sell it though. Look up Sam Kirkland or something like that on here in vendor forum. He's got some like I use forsale. Best and cheapest your gonna find.

Bait

Marshmellows, Honey Buns, Moon-Pies, Bread, and Donuts all work good.

Sardines work good too but they seem to attrack more Opposoms and Cats.

Thanks GA DAWG. I looked up sam kirkland's coon candy. That is the same kind of candy feed that we feed our calves.

Corn or dogfeed works good but not together. the coons will scratch out the whole bucket getting to the dogfeed. I'm going to try some Pnut sweepings this year from south GA if I can it as cheap as they say.

In the feeders we make are 5 gallon buckets with the snap on lids then drill a hole in the side close to the bottom big enough for the coon to slip in his paw then insert pvc to fit the hole to keep squirrels out then i feel it up with the biggest cheapest dog food there is by biggest i mean the chunks are big so it doesnt just spout out the hole that our cheap feeders but they work got 12 on my property got to fill them once or twice a week (depending if im hunting there)

Remember this one. I thought it funny. My old buddy is liable to throw an extra hundred in the collection plate thinking it will get him more favor with God. He is also on the anti-corn bandwagon against corn in dogfeed no matter the cost.

Never the less, the ocassion arose that I told him what I was feeding since my dogs were putting it on his so bad.

He said, "Yes, That is the feed I put in my coon buckets unless I get to running them hard, then I try to give the coons something a little better". LOL.

You can use that cracker wisdom no matter whatever your buddy is feeding.

That's how we first started getting also. Then we just started putting in feeders. They can't stay away from it. If you already have it for the feeder calves. Your set.

I have used sweet feed from the Farm supply store, also mix molassis with corn and put in feeders. both work very well. anything sweet and uou can't go wrong. P'nut butter is great also. fact is, they'll eat about anything that won't eat them..

If you're going to bait with Moon Pies don't be surprised if you get a picture of me sitting on your bait with a pie in my mouth and one in each hand.

I use corn with grape Kool Aid or mixed with molasses. Only problem is bears can smell it a mile away then you're screwed.
