Top Redbones/ Black and Tans...

If you were looking to start hunting a red dog or black and tan, where would you go to find an early starting well balanced young hound or pup?

As far as BnT's go IF you can find a Rex pup under a year old I'd grab it. I've hunted with, against and handled some really nice dogs out of Rex. I've seen what they can do in the right hands.I'm not partial to any certain line of BnT's. From what I've seen and hunted against these dogs are usually right there and show the qualities I'm looking for. They are quick to strike have good mouths, are good track dogs, good tree dogs and show independence. I've hunted with and against 11 of his pups and I would'nt be afraid to own any of them. Granted some were better than others, but they all showed traits that I personally liked.

IF YOU GET ONE FROM REX, TRY AND GET ONE CROSSED WITH ACE. THAT CROSS IS REALLY HOT.
THE CANE DOG IS THROWING SOME EARLY STARTERS.
NOT SURE IF DANCER IS GETTING PUPS BUT EVERY SINGLE ONE I HAVE HAD STARTED AROUND 4-6MO. OLD AND ARE VERY INTELLIGENT AND INDEPENDENT

I know nothing about Black and Tans...

Who owns the Rex Dog? Where is he located? Please put some names and locations on this if you can. Thanks

David, the Rex dog they are talking about was Nelson's Northern Rex. He was owned by Jeff Nelson from Ill. Jeff sold half interest in Rex to Hayward Ivy in Georgia. Sad part is Rex died a few months ago, at the time of his death he was probably one of our top studs. I think there are some young dogs on the classified's out of Rex. I would recomend anything out of Gr.nt.ch. Davis's black luke, my son and I just bought a male off of luke that is eighteen months old that is one of the most intense treedogs I have ever owned. Bryan Davis owns luke, I think there are some adds on the classifieds for some luke pups and you will find Bryan's website on his adds.
