Hey folks could use some help.

We've been working with the DNR on hound training and trialing permits. We had good success with the State hunt getting the permit. I took one DNR guy out on cast at the State hunt and he was impressed.

He's a "supervisor" for that area and wants to "train" some other DNR folks about what a Nite hunt is all about. The plan is to run the "hunt" by UKC rules, only 1 or 2 drops, on public land (they will be the guides). I'd like to see at least 1 dog from each breed if possible, we'll do a short "bench show" before going to the woods.

The dates we're looking at are; July 5 or 6 or July 20 or 21 pending weather. The "where" is Poynett at the DNR game farm.

So now, who's in? It's a great opportunity to teach them what it's all about and help get our training/trialing permits approved! It never hurts to have people that make decisions know what they are talking about.

talked with DNR yesterday, looks like they are going to have 30 to 40 DNR people there. more than I 1st thought.

I'd like to have less than 10 of them per cast. could also use 2 more "sports communtators" to explain whats going on in the cast.

target date is still moving, but shooting for July 7th as of yesterday.

could use a red dog,

this is not a "UKC" event, the purpose is to show them what a nite hunt is, and how it works. we're having trouble getting permits to use "state" lands for trials, because they think our trials are run like bird dog trials, many dogs in a small area.

where the DNR raises the pheasants
how about--- around Madison or Columbus

we'll be hunting public hunting grounds in the area, not on the game farm. DNR folks will be guides.
