I'm new to coonhunting. I have a grade walker now but have a redbone pup lined up. The guy that has them says that both sides go back to an old dog called tall timber talker. I know this guys dogs are good dogs but was just wondering about this bloodline and what bloodline is the most well known. Thanks

The Tall Timber Talker I remember belonged to Dormon Clouse and was a long long time ago. Even a bit before my time but was supposed to be a good dog . Bloodlines these days go back one way or another to a few old dogs like Timber Chopper,Fireball, Woodpecker, etc. but have branced out considerably to some distinct lines tthat are doing well.
National Redbone Days will be in Homesville , OH. on 6/30, 7/1 & 7/2 if you can make it and want to see some Red dogs. Also there are some excellent breeders in OH.

Hayes Ramblin Red Ace.

Try to find a winning line of redbones today that don't show him at least a couple times, almost impossible to do. There are some other good ones out there but Ace is probably the most popular.

They say Ace is the dog that put the tree into the redbone breed.

John woodard bought Buck way back he also owned Sulpher River Rose. They produced Barnharts Bo Dee, Stinnetts Jay Dee and Sandy Creek Jake all top males.
