Advice Needed

I need some help , my dog has decided to hunt like a squirrel dog only gets out around 200 yards , how can I get him to hunt deeper...

I have a female dog who use to hunt like that but it was my fault, when she was a pup she got to attached to me and wouldn't leave me so what i'm doing now is i take another dog out with her and she gets jealous and hunts harder it works and i know that a good kick normally dose not work!!
