hunt & show entrys are up with good #'s at every hunt i been to this year.

how are hunt entry #'s in your part of the country so far this year??

BENCH SHOW AVERAGES: 15 DOGS

HUNT AVERAGES: 21 DOGS

HTX AVERAGE: 8 DOGS

hmmm I figured the gas prices would have killed them but I havent been to an event in quite awhile so I couldnt say. I had planned on going to IN for the week for AO this year, just for the heck of it, but not with $3.50-$4 gas. I about choked on $2.50-$2.75

i forgot put #'s 4 different clubs

2 hunts had 27 dogs in hunt
1 had 25 dogs in hunt
1 had 14 dogs in hunt but pouring rain so still good for weather.
1 had 17 dogs in hunt. was real good for this club.

2 shows had 11 dogs
1 had 9 dogs in show
the other 2 shows i was not there to watch.

mt sterling had a ukc a few weeks ago,

i think there were 15ntch's and 9 reg dogs hunted.

Our RQE this year only had 44 dogs,about 10 years ago we had 152 dogs.Gas and everything else is taking it's toll.

I been to 4 since Feb. 5th. Total entrys were something like

Feb 5th - 27
Feb. 12th - 11
Feb. 26th - 15
March 12th - 26


All UKC, there were pkc hunts at a couple of those that doubled the ukc numbers. The hunts were at the same time, same club, same night.

I have been to 2 RQE's in Ohio so far:

Lisbon....63 dogs
Barlow....67 dogs

Pretty good for us, and there were a lot of out of state hunters there. I figure since the world is in Ohio this year we will see numbers higher then normal..

I SEEN THE BEST TURN OUTS EVER THIS PAST WEEKEND. ONE WAS IN TEXAS ONE WAS IN ARKANSAS . THE TURN OUT WAS WAY BETTER THAN AROUND HERE. MAYBE MORE HUNTERS IN THOSE PARTS?
