I have a 13 month old female b&t that is gun shy .What do i need to do to break her from this?Thanks in advance.

If the dog is food motivated put one person with the dog with some good eats, and another person with a .22 far away. Start feeding the pup and praising, then have the other person fire a round. This should teach the dog that hey that noise isn't so bad, I get food and lovin'. When the dog stops flinching move the gun a little closer. Do this everyday. Don't do it at regular feeding time with normal food. Patients is key especially with a dog this age.

If the dog is not food motivated have a person start lovin' up the dog like crazy. Don't stop when the dog flinches, keep distracting it with fun.

some get over it some never doi had a young red dog that it took most if the season to get over it if you didnt ty him when he got treed he would leave soon as you shot had a beagle that was only gun shy around the house take him huntin you shoot he was right there lookin for the rabbit lot of it depends on the dog jmo
