Wdell, roxie ran off last night, which is odd, she usually stays in the yard and comes when you call her, so Beth was walkin around the woods calliin for her and couldn't find her... (they live in the middle of a national forest so I can't blame her) and she told me that when she was walkin back to the house she heard a couple bawls and then two screaming ones that were like a minute long each, then a bawl/chop. She was excited but then had to calm herself down cuz Roxie is only 5 months old and hasn't been messed with much, drags or anything.
Anyway, she said that Roxie wasn't REAL deep but was a ways away and it took her about a half hour to 45 minutes to get to her through all the snow and stuff (plus she had to go back to the house to get a light cuz it was gettin dark out). She said she shined the tree for a few mins and made some squally noises and then boom, beaty little eyes lookin at her (no I don't mean an opposum, I mean Mr. Raccoon)
We will start hunting her once the snow melts.
I also checked up on all her littermates the other day, one in PA will kinda tree with other dogs, one in MI tree'd her own coon while her owner was walkin her thru the woods, Sunny will tree cats and drags (idk if they are using coon or bear scent tho) Pabst will tree coon drags and cats (he also tries to rip them in half with my other pup, camo), Raven died and the lady that has the other one won't call me back
