Mr. Stull, don't think I was ignoring your post. I guess I just haven't got past the 1st page the last few times I've checked the message board. I felt like hunting her down would work for you since she sounded like a young, ball-o-fire. As long as you keep her hunted down and a little tired she shouldn't bark out of place much at all. Now, when you lay her up a night or 2, expect her to revert back. Some people get too bent outta shape over it, and ruining them with electricity. As she gets older, she'll settle down and 9 times outta 10, nobody would ever know she used to do it.
When you get ready to put her in a hunt, you will probably have to do a good bit of experimenting beforehand, to figure out if she needs hunted down a lil more or to be rested so she's gonna "peak". I keep "De" hunted way down when we're pleasure hunting because he's like a child with ADHD. His mind & body are going 200 mph, in different directions, & things don't run so smoothly until he's burnt some that hyperness off. With just a little rest, he's capable of showing out in a 1-2hr cast. I don't mean I'm not hunting him. It's too large of an undertaking to get his wild @$$ tired, to lay him up! I think part of what has kept me hunting from dark till daylight, 6-7 nights a week is that I don't think my nerves will take hunting the wild outta that pup again! Ha.
Me & him are hunting by ourselves from dark until around 3am, no less than 5-6 nights a week. It takes about 3 weeks of that to get him broke down about right. 2-3 nights before I take him to a Nite Hunt, we'll start at dark & knock off somewhere between 11:30-1am. In a day or 2, you can nearly see the energy welling up in him, & he's just about ready then.
By the way you describe her, she may not be as wild as this little monkey of mine, but some of the same things that worked on him, will more than likely work with her too.
I know some folks would hate dogs like that, and they're definitely NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART, but as long as I'm healthy, strong, & able enough to push one, I wouldn't have any other kind!
