What are the leading bloodlines in the english dogs

I bred our son of hard time moses to a dog with clown breeding several years ago. About 10 in fact. That dog passed away and I don't know where the other 12 are, I am assuming that they are all gone too. Anyway, I bought another dog from that same breeding, but I am interested to find out what type of bloodlines are popular now in the english coonhounds. I bought my pup from Dale Browers in Ironton, MIssouri. They have Hard Time Speck and Smith's Hardtime Rocky in them. I don't think they have anything too great in the more recent pedigree. This little dog seems to have a lot of potential. At four months, he killed his first possum. Now, don't have a heart attack, this is the first wild animal he has seen as he has been in the kennel since birth. I don't plan to let him do that as a habit, but he did track some coon tracks the other day, although, he didn't know what made the tracks, he knew he liked the smell. lol
Anyway, just wanted to get an update.

I would love to know myself. My dad used to be a English man and has spent the last 3-4 years trying to find one that suits him. All he can find is ill natured, cur mouthed culls. And he has bought some nice pups from major English studs. I know they are out there but the it seems there is only 1-2 out of a litter that make a coondog.

If you have any luck send me a PM and give me some info I can pass along.

I had Hard Time Rocky and Willcox Thunder breed dogs and it seems that line has vanished. I've got Brier Creek and Swamp rooster now, but would love to get back to the older stock of English myself.

You are right there!!! The last dog we had hunted hard and would hunt far away, sometimes be gone for a night or two. My husband had a horrible time with him. He was a good tracking and treeing dog, but didn't want to hunt close. My rocky dog who was a son of Chance by Hard Time Moses wouldn't hunt for my husband at all. All he would do would be to bark around, but he would hunt with the local teenagers. My husband wouldn't hunt him because he was afraid something would happen to him as he was my dog.

I used him for a therapy dog. He knew when I was sick before I did. Wouldn't leave my side when I was sick. He was a great watch dog too. I loved that dog even if he was an aggravation. He did get his championship on the bench. The week before he died, he weighed 93 lbs.

The pup I have now, is very protective of me too. He is too protective as he growls at anyone who comes near me. We are working on that. I forgot how much work a pup is. I intend to train him to be social and hopefully we will get him to hunt too. My husband is a B & T man and doesn't like the red and white dogs.

I am interested in the bloodlines though as there are some die hard english people out there.

I have been breeding English for a long while. My English are mostly "Junior" bred English. I don't breed anything that don't look like a hound, has a hound mouth, and will stay treed. I breed more for the forks of the creek coon hunter and lion and bear hunters than competition hunters although dogs I bred do win in competition.

Most of my buisness is repeat buisness. I do not raise many litters these days and you don't see a lot of ads by me. If you will watch on the English classified advertising, you will see lots of videos of my dogs. I reckon some will say I am patting myself on the back but I have the dog power to back up any claims I make. Nuff said.

English breeds

Hardtime ROCKY breeding has NOT vanished.Richard Moore was the last owner of ROCKY,and he had quite a few straws drawn of him.I just bought a female pup out of ROCKY AGAIN(a son of ROCKY from semen) and Rocky Creek Jess.Jess was 2008 World Champion. My pup is,without a doubt, the purtiest pup I ever owned. Here is a couple pics of her.

Never ask a man what kind of dog he has. If he has a hound he'll tell you, if he does not, you don't want to shame him by asking.

Main Street Jack. Hunted a bunch with him and a handfull of times with different pups out of him. He is a COONDOG and his pups are plum full of action and treedogs. They are winning faster than u can keep up with them and of course Jack being bred hard and still hunted harder and of course still winning. Right now he's leading the state of Michigan in our PKC state race. Look past him and your missing out. And I promise you won't deal with anyone better than Asa Briggs.

Chad Nay's Rocky Creek Bo Line. Bo was the sire to World Champ Jess. This years sixth place winner at the world was Autumn, a rocky creek dog. Rocky Creek dogs
are in the winners circle quite often. A man that knows what a coondog is and how to breed to produce a winner. Good job Chad!!

That's the kind of English dog my dad used to hunt way back in the 70's and 80's.
