Another Bear Season Gone

nothing stirs the soul like the promise of a new season

Fall is in the air, or at least the promise of fall with the temperatures cooling off a little more each day. Fall bear starts tomorrow and the hounds will surely be running, singing their songs as they fly down the tracks of a black bear in the cool mountain air. Bear pursuit is a manly sport, probably a sport for the young, definitely a sport for those with strong legs and lungs, and never for the faint of heart or those lacking a strong will, for the bear and hounds will nearly always take the man into places many avoid. However, at the end of the day a person realizes that life is short and if they haven't really lived then what is there to remember as they age........

Hope everybody had a great fall season.............

Agreed, the older you get the quicker the seasons come and the quicker they go,but it seems the older you get the more you appreciate the hunts.I'm 68 and thankfull I can still go.Remember it's the hunt not the kill, when you learn that you will trully understand. Always enjoy your writting,s and pictures. Pat
