garmen ?

Have any of ya'll ever heard voices from your garmins? I was headed to a tree the other night and kept hearing voices. The only place I could figure they were coming from was my Garmin. Is a Garmin capable of picking up radio transmissions? Thanks Richard White

It is possible for the garmin to pick up radio transmissions if they are strong enough. You know it is a radio receiver along with being a GPS. I am a retired telephone man and I have seen phones pick up radio stations and CB radio even when being on hook. Larry

The frequencies used are common

I am not a radio guru, but 151.00-156.00 are common public safety frequencies. I was a little surprised to find out that the Astros work in the same area. That is also the reason a marine radio can burn one out at close range.

Well I admit I had been drinking a little. It must have been that radio transmitter the aliens implanted in my eye tooth the last time I was abucted. gotta luv Texas homegrown. seriously sounded like a weak radio transmission didn't know if stuff like that would bleed over or not.
