keeping dogs in wisc

Has anyone have any trouble with county telling you how many dogs you could have? Any suggestion how to deal with. Thanks Scott

Dog limits...

Yup! They want no more than twelve dogs in my area. It's kind of tough to train dogs full time and only have twelve dogs. If I don't have 7 or 8 dogs in the well started category three or four times a year, I'm not making much money and I'm not making much to begin with at that amount. A kennel license doesn't let you keep any more than that either. The only way to do it here is to split your pack up and keep another goup at a hound hunting buddy's place.

dog limit

Go to the town board and try to get a kennel license. In most townships that will allow you 12 dogs, your neighbors would have to approve of it.In my township a kennel license is $35 and each additional tag over 12 is $4. Best thing you could do is write something up and get your neighbors to sign it saying it's ok for you to have a kennel license and then approach the town board. Karl
