I got mine a smart light. She's 4 and it's simple to use. Light, and only needs charging every couple of months. Very very bright.

The Klight LED hat light is about the same thing.

I think almost any of them (the LED cap lights) would work for a kid.

You can buy a headlight on an elastic band from walmart or autozone, I got one energizer that has a small head that flips up/down also have a coleman that will rotate up/down and has a high/low. both are AAA BATTERIES. I bought a 400.00 light and had to buy a 15.00 light for back up. Ask Eddie Tyner in SC about these little....BIG LIGHTS...To me these lights are the future just need to hookem up to a longer lasting power pack....they are perfect for kids, JUST MY OPINION JBG

I think I like your idea, I don't know how much they will go, they seem to like it, if they really get into it I can get them better lights later

THEY ARE LED HEADS THAT WILL LAST LONGER THAN THE KIDS AND THE COMPLETE PACKAGE WILL FIT IN YOUR POCKET. THEY ARE VERY HANDY AND VERY BRIGHT FOR SUCH A LIL LIGHT, THE BATTERIES WILL HOLD UP A LONG TIME, WHEN HUNTING WITH FRIENDS I USE THESE MOST TIMES......I WISH THEY WOUD HAVE BEEN AROUND SOONER...THE KIDS WILL LOVE THEM AND YOU WILL LOVE THE PRICE...JBG

Kids Light

I got the little K-Light LED for my daughter (and me). My figuring was that if she goes she uses it. If not, then I have a good back-up light and walking light that I can stick in my pants pocket.

I find myself using it all the time as a walking light, and typically only use my belt light to shine the trees now.

Get something that you'll have a use for, as they are not really going to use it very often.
