Pup Treeing ?

Got an 11 month old pup that will will run track like he is tied to a coon, but when he gets to tree he will lay down and just bark every now and then.Maybe 10 times a minute. Never had one lie down like this ay base of tree.Any tips on making a more aggressive tree dog?

THERE COULD BE A NUMBER OF ISSUES. I HAVE ONE THAT DID THE SAME THING AND COME TO FIND OUT. HE HAD TICK FEVER. I HAVE HEARD OF SIT DOWN TREE DOGS BUT HAVEN'T EVER HEARD OF LAY DOWN TREE DOGS.
