dc 30 ?

where could i find a serial number and has anybody had trouble with them not charging up

They often get dirt and mud in the groove of the charging port that doesn't allow connection with the charger. If they are anything like the 20's the serial # is on the battery cover somewhere. I'd imagine some dis-assembly would be required.

rubbing alcohol and a tooth pick will cure the charging problem more than likely. like the post above dirt gets in the channel where the connection is made. i just about have to clean mine every time i charge.

To get the serial number you have to take the silver plate off that holds the case to the collar. Serial number is on a tag on the case.

I put electrical tape over mind to keep the charging port clean. I use different colors so I know what collar is what. Might help keep it clean.

i use a bicycle tube cut to fit over posrt but somehow dirt still manages to get in there along with water. i tried shrink tubing but its a pain in the but when you want to charge them....lol but no dirt gets in there.

every time i charge mine i run under faucet then use a small wire brush in port 100 percent effective

Hit it a couple of times with a tooth brush( the charging contacts) and it will Light right up.

Mine was doing same thing. Took it apart and unplugged battery for 30 seconds, put back together and worked fine ever since.
