Never had one myself. Have had a few hounds that would strike from the box on the back of the truck or open body or the back of a jeep. Never felt the need to build anything so elaborate, but if it works for you , good deal.

I would think the wind curents would be better at the back of the truck after the truck has stired up off the road and frome both sides. Looks pretty neat though.

Let me tell ya from my point of view the back of the truck is much better. Now when I say my point of view I actually mean mine and not the dogs.lol

One year bear hunting I sat on the hood as a buddy drove down U.P. 2-tracks looking for bear tracks. After 4 hours of that I swear I was so darn dizzy I didn't feel so good. Then my buddy had to break out the smoked salmon, pickle bologna, and sour cream potatoe chips!!!!!!!!!!!!

That nearly broke me of bear hunting right there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice looking rig.

it's illegal here in WV to have the dog in front of the vehicle's headlights. We can't even put them down to road hunt in front of the truck, they have to be behind the passenger compartment.
