cast breakdown ?

at a hunt, 8 Nt.Ch. dogs entered, 3 seniors make up one cast and they split the other 5 up into a 3 dog and 2 dog cast. I thought cast should have been two 4 dog cast! Since when do you make up extra cast? I thought you could only have a senior cast as long as there are at least 3 seniors and it did not make up a addtional cast.

Your Right

Don't believe you can make an extra cast! If tere had been 7 entries, it would have been alright to have senior cast. Take care, Ron.

Never should that happen with an even number of entries. If there was 4 senior members then and only then should they be allowed to have a senior cast. I don't believe they should allow them anyway. Its amazing how they claim they can't keep up but yet they usually bring in huge scores.. hmmmmm

Cheyenne,

A minimum of three veterans are required to make up a Veterans Cast. In your case they met that requirement. Therefore, you split the other five up in one three and one two dog cast. They did it correctly.

I'm glad I didn't answer that one, I would have been wrong like everyone else.
