The MUD,BLOOD and the BEER

Did any of you get to the Kenton Nationals this year? We were there on fri-sat and it was a mess. Sat. night was really interesting with the drunks slipping and falling in the mud and of course it was not thier fault and would blame someone else. I never saw it this bad before. you needed a 4x4 to get through the lanes in the sales lots. I bet they lost 5 acres of dirt on everyones shoes when they left.

So did you trade a step ladder for the best coondog in the world or what? C'mon, let's hear about it.

seen a trade

I went to Kenton a couple times in the past . Seen a guy trade a set of left-hand golf clubs and a 2 hp boat motor for a nice looking Bluetic female, lightly started of coarse. He then traded the blue gyp for a rather nicked up old single shot 22 monkey-wards model I think. Then paid fifty dollars hard earner cash for a two year old walker male that only needed a little hunting to make a good hound. .........Good thing he got the 22 rifle first ,it was just what that walker needed to take the fang out of him ,meanest fifty dollar dog I ever saw....ah Kenton what a place.

I gotta go get in the middle of that, that's all there is to it. Someone take my shift at A.O. next year so I can go to the Kenton Nationals. I want to bet on chickens and greyhounds and carry my pistol on my hip and just take it all in. Heck yeah.

PERFECT-

place for me to be. I read somewhere how O.L. Beckham would wait around until Sunday to pick up all the stray beagles and haul them home to sell as gun dogs.

Next year I'm gonna go thru the father in law's basement and load up all the junk Sears, Stevens, and H&R .22's and see if I can't throw in a wheel of fresh colby for a decent reddish cur bitch to breed.
