Question

Do you necessarily have to live in the country to have a coon hound. The better question is how much harder is it if you had a hound in a sub division???

subdivision

it should not matter country or sub division. the only thing you would have to worry about is the barking at night.is what i would think.

I live in the city and have a pair of hounds. An older hound that you don't even know that's out there and a younger pup. The pup causes the most trouble because the like to bark. It really just depends on the neighbors really.

i live in the city and have no problems but you have to keep em quiet! that is the problem. im fourtinate that I have some decent hounds that mind better than my kids (8,6,4,3) but they have some nice electronics out to prevent box barking

Though I will never by choice live in a city or even a subdivision I dont see a problem. I know of coondogs that double as house dogs in the city. Not for me but to each his own. Again silence is golden.
