Summer Time Hounds

Does your hound look better in the spring or in the heat of the summer. I'm not talking about the treeing but the tracking ability. It seems like one dog is a pokey hound in the heat but put her in the cold and snow and I like her better. The other dog is just the opposite. I think he is a better dog in the heat. Now this is just hunting them by themselves. I am just asking what does other dogs look like. Do they look better in the HEAT or the COLD.

Try to figure this one out

I have a 4 year old Blue female. Nice dog, not super dog, but does a good job all the way around. She has just gone out of heat, and is very fat. My wife had feed her way too much while she was up by the house in the 'heat pen'.
First night out, 90 degrees at 9:00 when we turned loose, she ran a coon in a 200 acre corn patch for over 45 minutes. I was afraid she would lay down and die on me. When we got to the tree, she was treeing like she had just been turned out. We made two more drops and she never acted like she was even winded.
So, I guess she is a summer time dog. LOL
