He was being hunted and a guy came out and shot him,he was on land that they had VERBAL agreement to hunt but nothing on paper,he shot him with bird shots they hit in about 7 spots,when i rushed there police where already there,and they were trying to just brush it off,one cop said he'll be alright in a couple of days!!!He was wagging his tail when i got there but limping on his back leg,he got out the kennel and walked around today but still sore.Got to wait and see if it affects him in the woods,I pray it don't,they better pray it don't!

HOPE YOUR DOG IS OK. PUSH TO HAVE THE SOB PAY FOR HIS ACTIONS. MAYBE EVEN GET COP SUSPENDED FOR AWHILE. I HUNTED ON A PKC HUNT SEVERAL YEARS BACK A LANDOWNER SHOT FELLOWS DOG. POLICE AND GAME COMMISSION WOULD NOT COME TO INVESTIGATE. HE GOT THE LOCAL ANIMAL PEOPLE INVOLVED AND THEY PUSHED THE ISSUE TO COURT. HE WON THE TRIAL AND THEY SETTLED. HE OBTAINED MONEY BUT THE DOG WAS STILL GONE. THE SOB WHO DID THIS GAVE HIM VERBAL PERMISSION. HE ALSO HAD IT KEPT OFF HIS RECORD. HE WORKS AT A GOVERNMENT JOB AND IF IT WOULD HAVE GOTTEN ON HIS RECORD HE COULD HAVE BEEN FIRED.

Just got off work and went and picked him,he's walking on all fours and pulling at the bit when we showed him a stuffed coon,were the shots entered him at the areas are still swollen and bruised but he's still here and looks to be well on the way to recovering from this.It was the county sheriff who I dealt with,those guys have it pretty rough sometimes but i lost a little respect for them the other night,when i got there they weren't even gonna go to the guys house until I told them that i wanted to go see what was on this dude mind,all they wanted to do was defuse the situation and get gone.The guy admitted to the sheriffs that he had shot several dogs in the past weeks!!!!!All they said was"if i were you i would be careful with that,cause you can get arrested for that!!!Im gonna luv him up today and tomorrow and then we going to see if it screwed with his head any.......I'll let yal know,thanks for the words from you all.

Sorry to hear about Gold Dust. Hope he is gonna be alright. Seems like it is always the good ones that something happens to but the biscuit eaters live forever.
Had a messed up deal happen here the other night. We had started into a patch of timber to get the dogs when this guy yells and asks us what we were doing. We told him who we were and then he told us to get in there and get our dogs and get out cause his cattle were calving. Didn't even mess with the cattle but he thought we were. Then the dumb sob went and called the game warden and they showed up and gave my buddy a ticket. He paid it but I still think he should have fought it since the guy told us to go get the dogs. Some land owners can really be jerks.

Sorry to hear that the same thing happened to me back in Feb.I called the law and they investigated and took the the shoot gun and the next day I pressed animal cruelty charges against him.The guy has been to court twice and goes in front of a jury June 22 but I have doubts about because they very seldom do anything to those dope dealing ******************.The night it happened the guy would not come out of house but looking back on the whole thing I glad he didn't because things would have became very ugly instead he sent out his girlfriend that he lives with.Right or wrong if someone talked to me the way I did him I would had to come out and take or give what was deserved.That's enough of my story know that my blood is boiling and good luck with your dogs recovery.

be to hard to prove this with the deputies as a witness of the shooting by landowners testimony of shooting the hound.

Glad you held yourself together,and that Golddust is still with ya and alright.I wouldnt let it go,an example must be made so other idiots dont try this,but I dont know your situation with your hunting spot.

I hope we never encounter a shooting of our hounds,good luck with this.
