dog health question

small trace of blood in dogs crap just enough to notice no sign of worms that i can see with the eye any ideas?

Could be a bunch of different things. I have seen blood in the stool of dogs who have recently had a food switch to dogs who have eaten a foreign object. But it is spring so it could also be worms, parvo, or any number of things. Run a stool sample to the vet so you can eliminate the serious possibilities that it could be and keep your fingers crossed that it is something minor. Blood in the stool is a sign/symptom of too many things to guess at and some could have a bad ending.

I recently had an old hound that was showing blood in stools..Took him to vet for examination, found he had a large tumor growing in stomach..About a month later I had to put the old boy down..I sure hope this isn"t the case with your hound but you never know until you have him vet checked...
