Lite in sky 4/14/10

Did anybody else see that falling star or meteroite last night about 10:20? I got a couple calls from other hunters that seen it. it was bright, like the sun came up for about 2 seconds.

Yep that was it. It was like some was shining a spot lite in the back of our truck. Before the light went out it exploded into 2 or 3 smaller ones.

Light;

I didn't see the flash, but I thought someone was driving back to me from the other side of the river, through the woods! I thought I was gonna get checked or something, then it was gone! I thought they must have turned their lights out & were going to walk in to me! That explains it! Thanks, I'm glad to know what it was!

About 25 years ago or so I had a similar experiance while out coon hunting. I wrote an article about it that was published in Full Cry. It reminded me of pop flares in Viet Nam. I thought the game warden was after me. LOL.

I seen it. At first I thought of a pop-up flare, but it didn't last long enough. After a little bit there was a big boom sound and some rumbling noise. Didn't have any idea what it was. Looked like it was right on top of us.

I had a pup working a track out in front of me and I was leaned up against a tree with my eyes closed when I heard a rumbling noise that sounded like a tree falling. When I opened my eyes the sky was lit up and flashing. I just thought that someone was setting off fireworks or something. I hadn't heard what it was, thanks for the info.
