Light charger question - Help

I have a 21 volt Blazer box light and charger purchased new in february 2010. Since purchasing the light it has been sent back to Blazer once for not holding charge and the battery was replaced. I have also used three different Blazer chargers on the light and it appears that the chargers are not fully charging the light. *Goes dead in 4-6 hrs*

If I unplug the chargers after they indicate a full charge and plug them back in the charger will continue to charge for several more hours.

My question is...is there an off brand 21 volt smart charger that is good, reliable, and fits a Blazer 21 volt box light? I'm tired of my light going dead halfway thru the night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom

I've lost faith in Blazer, sent the light back once and tried 3 different chargers. If a cant find a good charger I'm gonna try to get my money back and buy a different light.

Are you using it turned up high a lot? I know my Bright Eyes 21 volt is advertised at 24 hours low side -- 2 hours high time. I keep it turned down low unless I'm searching a tree. I've never tested it to see how long it would burn keeping it bright but I suspect it might only burn 4-6 hours if I was keeping things lit up pretty good walking and all. You may need to conserve your battery better.

4.5 year old light

I've owned a Blazer 21 volt light for 4 1/2 years now without a single problem. Actually that is a lie. When I first got it the switch for the walking light was a little screwy, but it worked itself out after a couple of night hunts. I charge the light occasionally, or after an all night hunt.

Just to be sure....you do realize that by rotating the little black knob at the light itself changes the light from low to high, right? And knob at the battery has 4 different light levels within the high and low, right?

As suggested earlier, make sure that you are using the light on low setting.

Yep, always have it on the low side between 1 & 3 and the longest it has lasted is 6 hrs but, it is usually dead in 4 hrs. I think it's a charger issue.
