Coon Hunting Songs...

I found a cd with 13 coon hunting songs on it... They all are about redbones but hey its coonhunting... The guy only charged me $11.00 w/shipping... I plan on making some video's using the songs... The video's will be of English hounds though...Here is his info if any one is interested. The name of the cd is Memories In RED... Meredith Slone Box 113 Hi Hat, KY 41636 (606) 377-6690

It is more like folk music although a couple are remakes of some classic country... It is just a neat little cd for the diehard coon hunter... I enjoy it...It was well worth the $11.00 for me...I can't decide wihich song is my favorite..I just wish it wasn't about redbones...Lol...

I have this CD as well. Like it a lot, however if I have some friends over I change the words in the "if you like coon hunting" song to english dogs instead of redbones haha has a better ring to it...

I like Swampmusic by Lynyrd Skynyrd. While I do like country music, I grew up with some great rock influence locally. Many years ago there was this local spot called Sherwood Forest. Many of the groups and singers from Detroit and Ann Arbor like Bob Seger would often show up there for outdoor concerts.
