Pancreatitis

Has anyone ever had a dog get pancreatitis? My vet said it could be caused by high protien/fat food. I switched from Diamond Performance 30/20 to Diamond Extreme Athlete a couple months ago because i couldn't keep weight on him. That is the only change that has been made in any part of his life recently. Has anyone experienced this before?

Thanks

yep I have.Last spring/late winter went to a high fat food.Had one dog come down with it.Nearly lost him.Sever vomiting and runs.Took to vet after 2 days, two bags of IV anti botics there.Sent me home with a bag of IV antibotic and stomach meds.Took a couple of days before he would start eating.Only lasting effect I can see(may not be related, but had no problem before)cant keep no extra weight on him.

If you don't mind me asking what high fat feed did you use and what did you switch to after this happened? Sounds the same but I would have thought it would've showed itself before now. I have 8 other dogs on it with no symptoms.
