Any hotel recommendations for walker days?

Lets hear how your stay was and which ones are dog friendly.

OK here is one opinion for you. Last time I was in Angola was in 2007.

My girl friends and I stayed at the Ramada Inn, PH #260-665-9471. It's close by. Not a roach motel by any means, but not the Ritz Carlton either. A good clean decent motel. I have reservations there again this year if that tells you anything.

I don't recall the pet policy to be honest. Our dogs were clean when we arrived for the shows and I believe they stayed in truck, but don't remember for sure. We do bring dogs inside often to stay in their crates.

The last time we were there there was a nice restaurant "Benigans" on site at the motel, but when I asked this year they said it was closed and as of early February there hadn't been another restaurant to replace it yet.....don't know if that means anything, but I was disappointed.

The room rate I was given was $64 + tax. It's well worth that in my opinion.

I know there was a sticky thread posted on first page listing motels for Walker Days so you have some choices. This is the only place I personally have stayed in Angola, IN. I believe we were there for Bluetick Days and The World Show in 2007 so we came on 2 separate occasions and stayed at the same motel. I remember being very pleased with the motel.

Hope this helps......
