pocohontas plott pup question

I have a 14 month old poca. pup I have released him on three different bobs and the first two were ran all the way to there dens under the ledge. The last one was live trapped and shown to him on two different days. First day was for about 30 minutes and the next morning for about 15 minutes before we turned the cat loose. The pup and a buddies bear dog both took off on the track the pup being way ahead on the track, But we ran this track for probably 4 and a half miles and the pup never opened up on this track or any of the other ones for that matter. Just wondering what you may think of this and maybe someone could enlighten me on this subject because at this point in time i am very dissapointed. Help me please!!!! Irv if your out there I would love to here from you on this one and gene also
