ok guys wat do you think

some people around here in nc are saying the ukc hunts are not as fun as they use to be here what do you guys think and how is the number of hunters hunting them in your area i believe they have dropd in this area

its not as fun here in western nc. people started fighting about the dogs, and only caring about the papers and how much the dog is worth, and they lost the true meaning for the hunts: to tree a coon or 2 with some friends. last year there was about 60 coonhunters here in sylva and now its very rare to see a dogbox in the back of a truck, or trucks along side a dirt road at night. its sad

low numbers

in my opinion when ukc started making you win your cast to place they killed the hunts as far as entries go...to many pleasure hunters would come for a hunt when they could take home 7,8,or 9th place....you still have to have a first so i really don see the benefit for what they done...it just made it easier to champion out a dog now...and the people that know they can't win a cast stay home...jmo

ukc has just went down hill around here people are hunting more money hunts than anything ive been hunting pkc and not having any problems u go to a ukc they will be a problem im sure

the reason you see more in money hunts(IN MY OPINION) the rules are so wide open to interpitation that it leads to arguing and fighting and then it leads to other problems in the money hunts the rules are black and white and if u want question it you put your money up.......... that tends to solve alot of problems!!!!!!!!!!!

I hunt both and the rules in the other KC are as about as far from black and white as you can get. If and I mean IF you can get an official interpretation of a rule then next week it will change according to who is asking it. As far as the numbers being down. I think if you could get the stats you will find that although the numbers in your area are down. The numbers all over are about the same as they have always been. The difference is everybody has a club in their back yard and they don�t have to travel like they use to.

What we consider fun changes with our age. They are not as fun as they use to be for me because my priorities have changed, and so have the people that hunt in them.
