Did anyone buy one of those new Led heads off Ray? Just wondering what everybody thought about the new heads and how well they worked??

Steve I brought on at the Classic and I very, very pleased. It has nice, sharp design. It is very bright, has a tight beam, and you only have to have it on the first click to walk in the woods and shine trees. Ray put a lot of time and thought into this design here. Everything about it speaks Quality. Trust me you won't go wrong with one.

I have been using one for 3 weeks now. I have compared it to several other LED heads.
The difference in output between the Bright Eyes and the G2 isn't very much. I think the Bright Eyes has a little better spot. The difference without a doubt is in craftsmanship and design. The BrightEyes is far better built than any others I have seen.
Ray installed a different switch on my beltlight so that I could control the head from my belt like always. I have finally admitted to myself that my sight isn't what it used to be. I can see better with the LED, not as much reflection and shadowing as from the old incandescent bulb
The ProHead doesn't throw a spot and is not as bright as the BrightEyes head. I do however like walking with the ProHead as it lights up a large area.
The only thing I have found about the BrightEyes head that I don't like is how it fits on your softcap. It is not tight in the holder. I don't know about a bump cap.
The BrightEyes head is approximately twenty dollars higher than the others but well worth the difference.

you can bend that metal bracket to make it tighter, or rip the back cover off a match book and bend it in half and slide it behind the bracket and it will fit tight
