Hey Heather, yes Bow is surely a skilled wildlife photographer! Those photos look very professional so I can see why your son is drawn to them. I wonder if Bow has an online photo album (hint hint), if so I'd like to view it...these cant be the only photos he has of this quality. They're really nice.
We are long over due for a get together and hunt. We're not allowed to chase bobcats here in NH so I doubt we'd see one but you never know. I dont claim to have cat dogs either and would be surprised to see a cat up there but, it would be neat. A few years ago I was out at night checking a feed bucket, I used to bring Tracker (which is a son of Hawk) with me just for a walk. He usually hunts out but if you call him he comes right back close. Anyway he got ahead of me maybe 100 yards from the feeder and just fell treed, I was just about to call him when I heard him. I went down to him and he had something up a big hemlock, it just sat up there looking right at us, never looked away or moved. I couldn't tell what it was but I've always thought is was a bobcat...it just looked like it. Wasn't a coon I'm sure of that... who knows. Another time I was refilling that same feeder during the day, in winter. I had Tracker with me again and I watched him start getting far out in front of me with his nose up in the air smelling. He fell treed on a smaller hemlock and had a fisher. The fisher was curled up in a ball, laying in the sun. Looked down at me once and went back to snoozing lol. One more time...took Tracker for a walk in the woods with Robin and her nephew Alec, Tracker did the same thing but had a coon way up a good sized hemlock, during the daytime. Alec got a real kick out of that. I should take Tracker for more leisurly strolls in the woods before he's gone lol.
