Wick Froglegs

Did John make his own nylon or what. Why cant anyone get the same nylon. Im sure some of you have called him or something. Just wanted to know what kind of answers you got. In both of his books and article in the cooner he is always saying he writes so that we can all learn from his mistakes and to help us out. I cant believe he is letting a great product to help us disapear.

I called Bama Hunting Supplies and the guy told me his boots were identical on the outside but he uses a rubber backing on inside of his waders. They look very similar to wicks in photo. He is going to bring me a pair to Walker Days in Salisbury next month.

Heres a link for a pic:

I'm pretty sure it isn't the "same" material. I have a pair of Wick and Stone Creek chaps sitting here and they are close, but def not the same...

Stone Creek seems like it has a rougher texture than the Wick...

Back last year before they added it to the site, this is what Kim said concerning the rumer mill of them buying Wicks out:

I am getting in the material just like Wick used. I do not have it as of yet, expecting it any time. First things we will be making with this material will be chaps, jackets with hoods and jackets without hoods. I did not buy her patterns but these jackets and chaps will be made as closely to theirs as possible as they had the best clothing on the market as far as I am concerned. I also did not spend $30,000.00 on anything. I did get some of her things when she closed but not nearly that much. I also did not buy her out and go under a different name , Stone Creek Hounds and Hunting Supplies is our business that we have had for a while, just expanding . I would love to say I am the new owner of Wicks as they were top of the line. I just don't want any hard feelings between Linda or John Wick and ourself if they would get the wrong impression that I am stating that I bought them out. They are both very good friends of ours and that is important to us, and we want to keep it that way.

You can't get any more PROFESSIONAL then that. I've ordered collars and leads from them and also bought some stuff from them at Little Mountain Music hunt a couple of years ago. Good people and a nice family owned business. Curt

When you get the material and get them made please pm email or call me. Im gonna need a pair soon. I think the batteries in my collars last longer than my chaps anymore.
