Do you even read the links before posting them?

There was in fact a bill that would do some of the things claimed in your article but it has not and in all likelyhood never will pass.

From Snopes:

Yes, I did read the links. I was just trying to let everybody know about it, even if it isn't that big of a deal. I didn't edit the e-mail, I just posted it as I got it. It would be nice if you didn't bash my post and were just happy that I notified you about a bill that could extremely impact our lives as sportsmen.

Problem is that you posted it as fact. A lot of folks never take the time to go and read when something gets posted so then it continues to get passed around as fact. When the fact is that it's simply not true.

You can't say that "fact is that it isn't true". Most of it is true, and it was an e-mail sent to me therefore it may contain some personal input from the sender. THIS IS A REAL BILL, AND THAT IS FACT. I WAS TRYING TO BE NICE AND NOTIFY EVERYONE ABOUT THIS BILL THAT IS IN FACT A REAL BILL THAT HAS THE POSSIBILITY OF IMPACTING REAL GUN OWNERS. Just be happy that I let you know about this bill. All of the information may not be true, but it is a real bill that could really impact you.

Ok, I spent two minutes on google and found this website:

The bill was introduced in 2000 and did not pass and did not receive any support from anyone other than the original sponsor.

So again I will say that the fact is the bill is not going to pass, and never had any possiblilty of passing. A little research goes along ways on stuff like this.
