bear liver

this was my first year to eat liver and onions from a bear and it was the best i have ever eatten AND IT MADE 3 BIG MESSES AND EVERY ONE THAT TRIED IT WITH ME ALL 3 TIMES SAID IT WAS THE BEST LIVER AND ONIONS THEY EVER ATE i just wish i had more to eat becalws i belive i could eat it 7 days a week hope i get to eat more next year.david boggs

Bear liver

I love it also...I usually take it to work and everyone that says they don't like liver but try anyway want to know when I can bring more.

i could

eat it every day if bear was all liver but i also like the meat as well.i thrue the gall blader away i wish it could not be used 4 nothing becalws at one time people where poching them just for the gall blader.if i lived where there was more bear than where i live i would quit coon hunting and be a dye heart bear chacer with dogs.david

I also like the meat. They wont let us use dogs in Wy. Seems to be more and more around here. I dont like the thought of hunting them with out dogs but I just might buy a tag and shoot one for meat.Most of the guys that shoot one out here leave the meat to rot on the mountain. What a waste. Mel

i think

it should be the law if you shoot it you should half to get the meat out even if you dont like it and give it to some one that will eat it or donate the meat some where.if i wount eat it i will not shoot it unless it is smothing like a yot. fox or smothing in that nature i hate to see good food go to waist.david

It bugs me too. But bear and lion are classed as trophy game and the hunter is not required to take meat. They do regulate the meat of biggame and game birds. I have told some guys I would come up and help our skin the bear out for them for the meat. so far no takers. Mel
