Looking for some answers.
Im alittle worried about a gyp that I just bought. I bought her for the sole purpose of getting me a pup off a male that I have. The gyp is 7 and looks to be in good health except for a cyst in one of her teets. Its about the size of a childs fist.
Will she be able to raise pups? I talked with the gentleman that I got her from via the Pm board and he told me she had a litter back in Nov, and did really well with them, but then at 3 weeks they all died.
Could the cyst have turned her milk and poisoned the pups?
Im not at all displeased with the gyp, I took her out lastnight and she does just as the man said. So as far as hunting she could be used as a nice pleasure dog, but I bought her to raise atleast one litter.
Im looking for any and all feed back. Ive talked to my vet this morning about taking the cyst, but he said he would want to fix her, thus no pups! Does she have to be fixed if I take the cyst off? Its not big enought that it really bothers her, and my thinking was if I could get me the pup I want. Then get the cyst taken off and maybe give her to a young hunter.
Thanks in advance for the feed back.
