LOL, I don't think is that quite simple as stepping up and saying they want to be counted....................they have to step and say they want to be counted and pay $$$$$ to be counted.
I can see that with a Stud Dog DVD, but from my understanding, the Tailgate Adventures show, those episodes that are filmed, the hunters in the episodes have to pay to be in the episodes and the show's content on different hound hunting is based on people paying to be on the show???
At least that is what I read on the BGH forum in your partner's post.
You are partially correct.
We offer a package where, for a fee, we will come hunting with you, and you can showcase your kennel and your dogs and basically make it a very tasteful 30 minute "infomercial" about your dogs. It is/was open to all breeds of dogs...beagles, bassetts, treeing hounds, treeing curs....the whole gambit. For that fee, they get 6 months of advertising in the form of banner ads at the beginning and/or end of the show.
So not everyone paid to be on our show, only those folks that wanted to showcase their dogs or breeding program. This is not any different than having Michael Waddell come to your ranch to hunt...he doesn't do that for FREE....he gets paid to come promote your guide service or your amenities.... So if more walker owners than redbone owners choose to take this route, then yes in that aspect it drives content.
Last season we offered five premium kennel spots, our goal for Season II is to decrease that to four. One of which is spoken for as of right now. Five out of 13 episodes last year, and 4 out of 13 this year. Open to ANY BREED of dog....as long as it is a hound or tree dog..
I had a dog on the Legends video, and I too paid for that...
