not to sound rude in any way but i wouldnt take one if it was gave to me, i used a buddy's for a couple weeks and it wouldnt shock half the time or more than half. another buddy bought one at cabelas and he dont even take it anymore because its the same way. id have nothin but a tri-tronics g2 or g3. jmo

I have one , I had the same problem with the 1st one I got it wouldnt shock the dog unless he was standing beside you and then sometimes it wouldnt then. I contacted sportdog about it and they sent me a whole new system and it works good, I havent had any problems with it.

I love mine. I have had no problems with it and it even works underground!! (dog fell 20 ft in the cave...thats why she didnt come when I called, I think I broke her off of falling in holes!) We had several tri-tronics, if you like something that only last a year, go with them. I had no luck with them
