I was just wondering how many girl hunters are out there. Seems like me and 3 of my friends are the only girls around here that coonhunt.

Don't know about your area but my 13 year olddaughter is helping me train a pup that belongs to her her brothers and my wife. Talk about a family thing. What got her started is when I told her the story how my buddie lost to an 11 year old girl. Hes been doin it for years and is almost forty. She loves it!!!!!!!

thats cool. i didnt know. im 17 adn like i said, except for 3 of my friends, were the only girls around here that coonhunt, adn i was begining to doubt that there were any other girls out there that do. lol

Well the DEE part of this crew isn't a girl anymore...aaaaaahhhhhhh.....i'm 40! Don't act it, but i am. I go when i can and there's room in the truck for me. I don't keep up to well with the guy's in the woods but i make a tree every now and then, but boy do they love me when when they go so deep i can drive the truck around about three miles and pick them right up! hahah... I love to be with the dogs and love the sound of them. There are many a gal on here that hunts, and does it with style. I'm sure you will hear from them in a few....

If you will look it up in and old coonhound around 2003, 2004 There a story about Gary woods daughter its june bug or lady bug sorry Gary if I got it wrong . But Gary use to own Choping Axe . And she could handle that dog as good as he could.

lol. ok, yea. i coonhunt, bear hunt, hog hunt and squirrel hunt. got 2 plott coonhounds, 3 catahoula hog dogs, 4 plott bear dogs and 2 feists.
cricket and jack are my coonhounds
lacy, mindy and millie are my hog dogs
bomber, ace, rose and rascal are my bear dogs
and ranger and sue are my feists

I live in western PA and my sister used to be bigger coonhunter than me. LOL! But life gets in the way. Now I am starting to take my 4yr old daughter coonhunting, and she loves it. Fact is I cant say anything around her about goin hunting unless Im taking her or she absolutely bawls. Tears and everything! Coonhunting is a sport for ANYONE, young or old, male or female!

if I listed off all my hounds you would go wow lol but you see the walkers are my other halfs he is a die hard walker man and i like all the breeds I also have 2 raccoon which are licensced to have 3 mini donkeys ,2 mini horses ,3 llama's 4 big horses 30 some chickens and 2 small dogs could say a bit of a zoo LOL I have a Plott he is a very nice hound i love him to death you should talk to Brindle_boone and Geminite they are on here and raise Plotts have some of the nicest Ive seen also Torro2 she has plotts and jackiec

My mother and I both hunt and show.
My mother has a Fch Grch Milarken's Reevewood Shi-ster (a bluetick male), Ch Milarken's Sporty Shorty (an english male) and Milarken's What Was I Thinking (a walker female). She shows and hunts whenever she can. She also has Patches which is a half walker and half bluetick.

I on the otherhand have a small zoo starting up, I got Tamarack's Redwood Secret (plott female) Tamarack's hardwood Buddha (english female) Grch Milarken's Rockin Jack Flash (english male) and Grnitech Ch Cassandras Midnight Jenny. Plus One registered Arabian Gelding named San(for sale) Starr my old 4-h gaming pony (32 years old) plus I am getting chickens, pigs and steers hopefully soon.

Must be very few around here, or maybe they're just all in hiding! The only ones I ever see at the hunts I go to are usually teenage girls there with their boyfriends.

I started dabbling in hounds 2 years ago come the weekend of the Grand American. Began with 2 hounds and now have a collection of Walkers and Blueticks. Spent a lot of time bench showing several of my dogs this year, and though I do plan to hit most of the major shows this coming year I'll mostly concentrate on finishing my NTCH female and working with a couple of my other young hunting dogs. My fiance' and I also have a pack of deer dogs, so it often seems we spend the entire year hunting with dogs!

i live in Louisiana and 19 and i have had 3 or 4 girlsfriends that would go hunting with me they just hate watching a fight lol thats one or my favorite things to watch but there arnt any that do it all the time

I'm a lady hunter in Midland NC and have blueticks and a mtn cur. I use to have a B&T. Although my husband claims the cur as his, she goes with me at night a lot because of his work schedule. I have recently gone hunting several times with a new friend that I met at the Ladies Hunt night at the Rockfish Creek Coon Club in Raeford NC. They hold this every year and it was a lot of fun! I also deer hunt, bear hunt, squirrel hunt, atv ride, camp, etc....anything outdoors.
