Smart lights

Has anyone used a smart light and if so how do they compare to most normal belt lights. Brightness, battery life, durability?

need to know

I have $100.00 K-light and I did the 'Pepsi Challenge' with the Smart Light. Both are equal in brightness from what I've seen. They are nowhere near as bright as 21 volt and if anyone tells you they are they're telling you a fairy tale or are legally blind. I bought my K-light after being told it was bright as a 21 volt. It's not. Both lights are perfect for a kid or someone that's going to be shining a 15 foot tall trees.

NOT AS BRIGHT AS A 21

THAT IS CORRECT. THE 6 VOLT HOT LIGHT ON HIGH IS BRIGHTER.
I BELIEVE THE DIFFERENCE IS THE WHITE LIGHT VS THE BLUE LED COLORED LIGHT. MIGHT BE THE SAME BRIGHTNESS TO SOME, BUT CAN SEE MUCH BETTER WITH THE WHITE LIGHT OF THE SAME BRIGHTNESS. I HAVE 2 SMART LIGHTS AND ONE IS ALSO BRIGHTER THAN THE OTHER. THEY ARE FINE FOR WHEN THE LEAVES ARE OFF. THAT BLUE LIGHT SHINING INTO THE LEAVES IS HARDER TO SHOW A COON. JMO. <v>

Pkc world hunt

I hunted the pkc world hunt with a smart light and the spot light that comes with it and I found every coon on our cast. The leaves were still on some trees. The difference is they have a tighter spot, they will shine through any light I have seen and have six different lights from regular head to led heads. They are as bright as any led head out there they just dont put out as wide of spot. They are little tougher to get use to but I wouldn't think twice about hunting with one in any type of competition hunt. They will get better though, better be selling the old lights while you can, I found one that runs on Triple a batteries that is bright as any light out there, not counting spot lights, but anyhow what I'm getting at is that someone will put a charging system on this light and it will be awesome. It even has a dimming switch light bright eyes light has. Its set up like a smart light and lowes sales them. There $50 here. Compare them to your hunting lights, they have the same type spot as the old 5100 head pieces. Just brighter. I know its hard to believe but I have show a lot of people, if you live close to Ky come by and I will demostrat. I got a two blazer's, a cajun, bright eyes, bandit, smart light, and this light. I don't mean it will over power them so bad you cant see the rest but it is bright and three time less weight than any light or head piece out there including smart light and predator. The only problem is the charging system, so I will stick with my smart light. Tim

What's the name of the light at Lowe's. I'm willing to try anything. I'm tired of being weighed down like a pack mule. It isn't rechargeable?

Most of the lights are being advertised as ...as bright as a 21 volt light turned up on the LOW side. None that I have seen say they are brighter than a 21 volt light on the HIGH side.

I have been able to test most all of them and they are all real close in brightness from what I can see, but I am legally blind.

I have a smart light. It's good for what I bought it for, a light for my daughter. I like it, well worth the money and I am not dissappointed.

One thing though is that I can't tell much difference between "low" and "high" side on it.

I do think the coons look at it better for some reason, but for me it wouldn't be bright enough for my full time hunting light.

i dont use a smart light but i do build a similar light to it. I will tell you that if you put a 21 v light with a 5100 head turned up all the way on the LOW side it WILL NOT flood out the LED from our led cap light, the k-light or the smart light . If any one trys to tell you that it is as bright as a 21v on the high side, they are just trying to take advantage of you or they are talking out their butt.

I use a stanley 5 watt led spotlightfro walmart to go with my cap light and i have just as much light as the best canventional lights our there, did i mention my whole light fits on my head weighs about 1 pound, easily slides on and off. and the burn time is 10 times better

so i sell ours for $110.00 plus a $30 dollar spotlight from walmart, i have $140 invested in just as much as what $300 will get you.
