Matt and Ashley welcomed their newest little one to their family this morning! Baby boy Landon was 8lbs 8 1/2 ounces and 20 inches long...sure sounds like he is a healthy sucker!

Hoping all is still well and everyone is enjoying meeting the new addition.

Landon had a bad night and has been placed in the NICU.

He has fluid in the tissue of his lungs (TTM) and has been placed under an oxygen hood. He basically has to fight this off himself but if he gets any worse they will transport him to a Charlotte NC
Childrens Hospital...

Please help us continue to pray for Landon and for Matt and Ashley...

I had to come home and feed the dogs and shower, so I figured it would be good time to update all those following our situation. Thanks to Jessica, Lisa, and Brandon for updating everyone. Also would like to say thanks for all the prayers, emails, and phone calls. Landon has been diagnosed with TTN, which occurs very frequently in Cesarian babies. This is when fluid develops in the tissue of the lungs instead of the typical fluid in the lung cavities. There is no medicine to speed the process of obsorbing this fluid, so giving him time is all we can do. He is still in the NICU, but has improved greatly over the past several hours. He is no means out of the woods, but has come a long way since arriving in this world. Ashley is doing very well after a very rough day. She was able to get out of bed and visit Landon this afternoon. Once again thanks for all the prayers and calls, and I will update as soon as anything changes. _Matt_

Last update I had from Ashely was that when the Dr came in last night he said that Landon had improved more that he had expected. He said as long as he continues to fight the way he is he should be OK.
