Unless the land owner goes with you how would they know?

Im told the same thing from many land owners. They don't have a clue when Im out and how many Im taking. And I don't shoot allot of coon anywhere I hunt.

Yes, hold on to them. Prices are really wretched this year. We just passed on a 40lb or so boar that was hanging out for a few days around here. Kinda hurt. ;-) Sure hoping he passes on his genetics though.

Im glad the ones that hunt around here don't shoot all they see or tree!!

Im as honest as the next guy. I just don't stay in one spot long if the owner wants everything shot. Its all about the hunt, not the hunted to me!

But the coon here are worth very little to answer the question, I knew going into season thats why I have only shot 4. And yes I skinned them and they are in the freezer.

If we shot every coon we treed around here all our dogs would
be dead on the road before to long. I don't think I shot 10 coons
in the last six years in my hunting spots. I do shoot a few coons
out to the dogs that I live trap for people.

My friend sold 26 coon for 26$ last week. Hardly worth skinning them. I have given all my coon this year away! Havent heard other hounds in the distance since opening night. Have seen a few dog boxes in the back of trucks up town though that I didn't recognize!

My daughter & myself sold 28 coons last weekend & got $240. bucks which comes to a $8.57 avr. at Melby Fur in New London, Minnesota. We had 10 Jumbos, 10 Large, & 8 Mediums. All prime fur, skinned but not streched & dried. Buyer said Muskrats prices would be $4.00 streched &dried, now! Best of luck to everyone; Charlie Radtke

my name

My last name is Pelt, and based on some of my relatives even $1 would be overpriced. Now me on the other hand, I am priceless

You can call the old Hudson Bay Fur Co. !-800-usa-furs. They should be able to put you in touch with someone local to you. They might be the pickup people for the big fur sales.

Were cutting back on dropping them out this year. Ganna save em and drop em out next year when the prices (hopfuly) will be higher. Not worth packing them out.
